Reddit, as well as other social media apps, has helped shed some light on countless different topics. However, one common theme many users see on the app seems to be public freakouts. While these can happen anywhere, most seem to also take place in some kind of restaurant or business. Well, that’s exactly what this Arkansas woman shows on social media as she bullies a special needs McDonald’s employee. The video was posted to the Reddit thread r/PublicFreakouts and has around 836 upvotes.
The Reddit video starts off with the woman already inside the McDonald’s, as she can be heard yelling at the man working behind the counter. She quickly tells the man that he needs to go get his manager so she can speak to them, which has become somewhat of a famous move by these “Karens.” The Arkansas woman’s issues with the employee allegedly stem from the man being too busy to take her order. This obviously didn’t sit right with the woman, so she decided to cause a scene in the middle of the restaurant.
Reddit Flames Arkansas McDonald’s Karen
The woman tells the employee that “Ignoring her” won’t fix the problem. Yet, that seemed to be the final straw for the comment section. “He stopped taking care of the trash in the bin and started taking care of the trash in front of the counter,” one joked. “Poor guy deals with trash all day long,” said another. Finally, one other commenter said, “Imagine being that miserable,” regarding the Arkansas McDonald’s Karen.
As the video continues, the woman finally gets to speak to the McDonald’s manager, whom she so desperately needed. Although when the man attempts to take her order, the woman states that the first employee already handled it. This, in turn, appears to make the manager extremely confused about what this woman’s issue is. However, she clears it up pretty fast by telling the man that his employee was not doing his job. She even uses some vulgar language when describing the original worker.
Unfortunately, this Arkansas woman was allowed to get her food anyway, despite her childish behavior. After the manager hands her the bag of food, which turns out to be just a single order of French fries, the woman walks back up to the special needs employee to whisper something in his ear. It is unknown what she said, but it probably wasn’t an apology. This woman’s behavior was completely uncalculated. Hopefully, the McDonald’s employee doesn’t let it get to him, so he can keep doing a fantastic job.
