Prince Harry Terrified Of Prince William’s Reaction As He’s Desperately Tries To Leave California Behind: ‘It’s All Falling Flat’

Prince Harry may be living the sun-drenched life in California, but according to royal insiders, he’s got his eyes fixed squarely on something a lot chillier, the United Kingdom. More specifically, what happens to him when his brother, Prince William, takes the throne?

Prince Harry’s recent solo trip to Angola got royal watchers buzzing. On the surface, it looked like a noble humanitarian visit. He walked through landmine zones just like his late mother, Princess Diana, did back in 1997, met with families, spoke Portuguese to local kids, and even detonated a mine. He also met with Angolan President João Lourenço to chat about landmine clearance during his trip away from the Montecito, California home that he shares with Meghan Markle.

But not everyone’s buying the wholesome narrative. Royal biographer Tom Bower dropped some serious tea, calling the Angola visit “a stunt” and claiming Harry is “desperate” to come back to England, and not just to sip Earl Grey.

“He’s desperate to come back to England and distance himself with the bitter feud of his wife,” Bower said on GB News.

According to Bower, Harry’s trip wasn’t so much about landmines as it was about laying some groundwork. Behind all the smiling photo ops and press-friendly moments, Bower suggests Harry is terrified that when King Charles eventually passes the crown to William, big brother might close the royal gates permanently.

“What he really fears,” Bower added, “is that when the king, God forbid, dies, his brother is going to banish himself from Britain.” And honestly, that wouldn’t be too surprising given the icy royal relations we’ve seen play out in recent years.

Ever since Harry and Meghan Markle packed their bags and left royal life behind, things haven’t exactly been warm and fuzzy between the brothers. The Netflix documentary, the Spare memoir, the endless headlines, it’s been a rollercoaster of tension, and if Harry thinks his brother is keeping score, he may be right to worry.

So is this trip Harry’s way of buttering up the royal institution? Maybe. Bower seems to think so, pointing out that Harry’s California-based team just doesn’t get how Britain works. “He’s advised by Californians who don’t understand Britain,” Bower said, adding that recreating Diana’s iconic moment might have felt powerful in theory, but in practice? “It’s all falling flat.”

The Royal Family Drama Continues

Still, there are whispers of a thaw between Harry and his father, King Charles. The two haven’t seen each other in over a year and a half, but rumor has it they might reunite in September when Harry returns to the UK for a WellChild charity event. Some aides are reportedly working behind the scenes to smooth things over and prevent any more public family drama.

But even if Charles is willing to give Harry a second chance, the real question is what happens when William is in charge?

If Prince Harry is banking on the idea of returning to the UK in some semi-royal capacity, he might be out of luck, especially if William, the future King, isn’t feeling so forgiving. Harry’s torn life between California and monarchy may leave him stranded in no man’s land unless he can find a way to rebuild those royal bridges fast.
