An Ohio woman’s dinner plans took a disturbing turn after a routine trip to Cracker Barrel ended with a shocking and dangerous surprise. What was supposed to be a cozy, comfort-food meal quickly spiraled into a shocking moment after she found shards of glass mixed into her food.
The woman, who posts on TikTok as @LeahPageett270, shared her wild experience in a video that’s now been viewed more than 90,000 times. In true TikTok fashion, the clip uses the greenscreen effect, showing her reaction front and center with a photo of the meal in question behind her. Viewers immediately noticed what she was pointing to, small, jagged pieces of glass sitting right inside her bowl.
“Cracker Barrel, what is this? Y’all trying to kill people,” she captioned the video. Finding a piece of glass in your food is the last thing anyone expects when ordering from one of Ohio’s favorite country-style restaurants.

According to the video, Leah and her family had decided to grab dinner from Cracker Barrel but opted for carry-out instead of eating inside. Like most families, they trusted that their order would be correct and safe, so they didn’t check it until they got home. That’s when things went from disappointing to downright horrifying.
Not only did the Ohio family find glass in one of their dishes, but they also claimed they were missing half of their order. Talk about adding insult to injury.
The TikTok takes an even more unsettling turn when Leah holds up the pieces of glass for the camera. The fragments appear fairly large, and she explains that her father accidentally bit down on one before realizing what it was. The biggest piece still had a bit of wrapping attached suggesting it might have broken off from something used in the kitchen or packaging process. Either way, it’s not exactly something you want to discover in your mashed potatoes.
To make matters worse, Leah says her family reached out to Cracker Barrel about the incident, but the response was far from reassuring. Viewers flooded her comments with support while others expressed disbelief that something so dangerous could happen at such a well-known restaurant.

“That rebrand not looking so good now,” one person commented. “Oh yall are about to be richhhhhh, call a lawyer asap,” another stated. “Just imagine if this was a child’s meal,” a third person said. “I’d be calling the health department on them and hiring a lawyer.. that is scary,” a fourth comment read.
The video struck a nerve, tapping into a growing wave of customers taking to social media to call out restaurant mishaps. From undercooked meals to unexpected extras in takeout bags, TikTok has become the new watchdog for food quality and customer service.
As for Leah and her family in Ohio, it’s safe to say they probably won’t be visiting Cracker Barrel again anytime soon. And who could blame them? After all, nothing ruins a homestyle meal faster than finding glass where your gravy should be.
