Everyone loves a good police chase, and sometimes they can be very entertaining. However, while this recently posted TikTok video is technically a police chase, it’s entertaining in a different way and for different reasons. The clip also has around 6.5 million likes as it continues to do well online. Social media users seemingly just can’t get enough of the action as this Ohio police officer gets into a very odd scuffle with a younger man.
Sadly, the TikTok video starts off with the action already underway. Now, with that being said, the man who is recording does get most of the drama on-camera. Viewers can see the police officer and the younger man in the middle of a struggle as the cop is obviously attempting to detain the young Ohio man. The man’s bicycle can also be seen lying in the street as the two fight. The scuffle would then reach the ground as the two men continued to go back and forth. Finally, the younger man would break free and attempt to get his bike up. However, the cop is very relentless, if nothing else, as he grabs the bike’s wheel in a desperate attempt to get up from the ground.
The TikTok comment section was rolling following this, as many would rush to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes regarding the encounter. “This cop is clearly due to be up for retirement,” pointed out one. Another asked, “How are they both losing?” “Well, that escalated slowly,” joked one more. A different user then stated, “What’s funny is I know they’re both giving it their all.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “There is everything and nothing happening at the same time.” It would seem as though that many viewers found this situation very comical, and who could really blame them for that?
As the TikTok video continues, the Ohio police officer gets back to his feet, and the chase is on. The two men can be seen running around the street, dodging cars and each other. Finally, the cop pulls out his pepper-spray, but sadly, he completely misses when he goes to use it.
This allows the Ohio man to get on his bike and get away as the old police officer walks after him for a short time. At the end of the day, this was such a strange altercation, and there really isn’t a ton of context leading up to the situation. Hopefully, the old man is okay from his falls, though. As for the other guy, he probably didn’t get away for too long.
