In this jaw-dropping clip shared by Reddit user @Violet_Integer, a man completely loses his cool on a store employee after being refused an alcohol sale, and social media users are still trying to recover from the chaos.
The video, filmed inside a New York store, picks up in the middle of what’s clearly an already heated argument. The man can be seen screaming at the top of his lungs at a woman just trying to do her job. Within seconds, he unleashes a string of vile insults that would make anyone’s blood boil. But this employee wasn’t about to cower in the face of his tantrum. She stood her ground, meeting his energy head-on.
According to reports, the incident began when the man tried to buy alcohol without the proper ID, and the employee refused to make the sale, following standard New York law. That’s when things spiraled out of control. Instead of simply accepting the policy and leaving, the man went off the rails, yelling, swearing, and even making violent threats. At one point, he shouted that his sister would show up to “fight” the employee, which only escalated the tension.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen an entitled customer throw a fit over alcohol sales, and it probably won’t be the last. But this New York meltdown hits a little differently, mostly because it shows how far some people are willing to go when they don’t get their way.

Hopefully, the woman behind the counter has plenty of support after this viral ordeal. As for the man? Maybe it’s time for him to trade that bottle for a deep breath and possibly a few sessions in anger management. Because one thing’s for sure: this is not how you handle a bad day in New York.
