The world’s oceans are so very vast that they haven’t even been completely explored. However, with that being said, people still make strange discoveries at sea or on the beach all the time. Take this recently posted TikTok video, for example. The clip has around 117K likes and 1.6 million views as a group of New Jersey natives find a strange mason jar washed up on the beach. Yet, it’s what is inside the jar that has social media users buzzing.
The TikTok video begins with the three young explorers stumbling upon the strange jar, which had allegedly washed up on the beach. As the group looks into the jar from the outside, although that does them little good as time goes on, and whatever is inside the jar has made it impossible to see through. The text on the screen also gives a little more context as it reads, “Mystery jar washed up on New Jersey Beach.” Yet, despite not being able to tell what it was right away, the group decided to open the jar and dump out the contents right on the sand.
TikTok Reacts To Chilling New Jersey Beach Discovery
As the New Jersey man goes to do this, the mystery liquid inside comes out in a thick, flowing river, almost like lava out of a volcano. The group then notes the strong smell of cinnamon in the air as the jar is now empty of the liquid. Nevertheless, there is still one more item in the washed-up jar, and that would be a picture of an unknown person. On the back of the photo was also written that reads, “You want me, find me. Come look for me, show me off.” The note is also dated 12-19-88, so if that date is true, it’s quite old.
Unsurprisingly, the TikTok comment section had a lot to say about this strange discovery. Many users would flood the video in order to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions regarding the situation at hand. “Y’all just broke a love spell,” claimed one. Another wrote, “I can’t imagine touching this. I hope this is a skit. I’m nosy, but never this much.” Finally, one last person also wanted to know, “Why would you willingly touch the inside?”
As the TikTok video comes to an end, the group of New Jersey natives takes the jar back to where they are staying and washes off all of the remaining liquid in the sink. One of the women then states that she did some research online and can confirm that this was some kind of attempt at a spell. At the end of the day, this was a creepy thing to find, but at least it makes for good content.
