‘Most American Thing I’ve Seen’: Arizona Police Officer’s Fiery Gas Station Arrest Goes Viral
TikTok and other social media apps allow their users to post some pretty wild things. Now, with that being said, viewers tend to love those posts more than the usual things that they see on their feeds. Take this recently posted TikTok video for example. The clip has around 13.8 million views and 848K likes, as an Arizona police officer makes a crazy gas station arrest. Viewers seemingly can’t get enough of the action as the clip continues to go viral.
Unfortunately, the TikTok video would start off with the arrest already in progress, so viewers do not get to see the moments that lead up to all the action. However, they do see that the law enforcement officer has drawn his taser and is pointing it right at the man he intends to arrest. The Arizona cop then fires the taser as the other man stands near the fuel pump. The weapon strikes him, yet it also sparks. This causes the fuel that spilled onto the ground to ignite, and a fire starts.
TikTok Reacts To Arizona Law Enforcement Officer’s Intense Arrest
The person recording the video can then be heard warning the two Arizona men that there is, in fact, a fire. However, the police officer is more concerned about the man he is arresting, even though he has already been incapacitated. The man getting arrested can then be heard complaining that he has burn marks on his arms, as well as the concrete being very hot. The cop would then let him roll into the shade as he placed him in handcuffs.
The TikTok comment section was ready to go regarding this clip, though. Many users would hurry to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes about the fiery arrest. “This police officer electrocuted him, almost set him on fire, and then asked him to get on scorching hot pavement with fresh, open burn wounds,” pointed out one. Another said, “Report this officer; he should know better.” Someone else then wrote, “This is the most American thing I’ve ever seen.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “Did the electricity from the taser cause the fire?“
Sadly, the TikTok video would then come to an end following the gas station fire burning out almost as quickly as it was lit. It is unknown what this Arizona man did to be placed under arrest. Yet, the police officer most likely did not have to use his taser for it, and certainly not right next to a fuel pump. At the end of the day, this was a sloppy arrest, and hopefully, the cop can learn from his mistakes.
