Ghost Hunters star Aaron Goodwin was visibly shaken and emotionally wrecked as he came face-to-face in court with his wife, Victoria Goodwin, who is accused of a chilling murder attempt on his life. The disturbing drama unfolded in a Las Vegas, Nevada courtroom this week, where his estranged wife, Ashley Goodwin, is facing charges of attempted murder.

The tension was thick as the Travel Channel star took the stand to detail and relive the ongoing nightmare of his wife’s alleged dark murder-for-hire plot that left Aaron Goodwin fearing for his life. As he took the stand during the preliminary hearing, Aaron’s emotions were raw and on full display.

According to the Daily Mail, Ghost Hunters star Aaron Goodwin was away in California filming for the show, his then-wife, Victoria Goodwin, was allegedly plotting his murder behind his back. The shocking betrayal landed Victoria, 32, in hot water after she pleaded guilty to conspiring to have Aaron killed. A Nevada judge didn’t hold back, sentencing her to 36 to 90 months in prison for the disturbing murder-for-hire plot that rocked both the paranormal community and Aaron’s personal world.

According to court documents, Victoria Goodwin reached out to none other than Florida inmate Grant Amato, a convicted killer serving life for murdering his own parents and brother with a chilling offer. She offerd up $11,500 to take out her husband, with a $2,500 down payment already in play. But her twisted murder-for-hire plot quickly crumbled when prison authorities confiscated Amato’s phone and uncovered the disturbing messages exchanged between the two, blowing the entire scheme wide open.

During her sentencing, Victoria tearfully apologized to Aaron, claiming she would “always hold love for him” and vowing he’d “never be in danger” from her again. But the damage was already done. A devastated and emotionally shattered Aaron Goodwin broke down in court sobbing uncontrollably.

In his emotional testimony, the Ghost Hunters star admitted the ordeal left him traumatized. He also admits to living in constant fear for his life.

This has led me to fear for my life. I’ve hired armed security for weeks, not knowing if it was over or not,’ he said. ‘I cry every day, I feel so low. She grew me into a person I never was. I will always wonder why.’

Chilling letters between pen pals Victoria Goodwin and inmate Grant Amato reveal her asking, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce?”

The fan reaction has been overwhelming. One commenter writes, “She may still follow through. He should be very careful. Hope the prison monitors her very carefully.”

Following her arrest, Aaron filed for divorce on March 12, stating: ‘The views, tastes, likes, and dislikes of Husband and Wife have become incompatible. To the extent that it has become impossible for them to live together as husband and wife in marital harmony. There is no possibility of reconciliation between Husband and Wife.’

For Aaron Goodwin, the nightmare is far from over. The betrayal cut so deep that it left lasting emotional scars he may never recover from. No amount of justice can erase the horror he’s endured. As he told the court, this is something he’ll carry with him for the rest of his life.
