When it comes to free perks, most people know there are limits. But a Georgia woman recently decided to test those limits in the boldest way imaginable. Needless to say, her entitled act is not going over so well with those who shop at Costco.
Instead of simply refilling a cup like the rest of us, this Georgia woman went all in. She reportedly wheeled a cart with a large cooler inside and began filling it up using the self-serve soda fountain. Over and over, she kept transferring drink after drink into the massive container. She was completely unfazed that shoppers around her were watching and filming.
This bold and bizarre stunt quickly made its way to TikTok where people couldn’t believe what they were seeing. After all, who thinks to bring an actual cooler to Costco and fill it with fountain drinks?
Reactions came in hot. Many viewers blasted the move as shameless. They claim the woman was blatantly abusing the Georgia Costco’s generous policy. Others joked that this is exactly why stores end up cutting perks for everyone. Some even wondered why no employee stepped in to stop her. Especially since it didn’t look like she planned on stopping anytime soon.
Costco Cooler Controversy
Onlookers pointed out that the sheer logistics alone seemed wild. A cooler filled with liquid is pretty heavy. So just how did she plan on getting it out of the cart without spilling it everywhere? Some people tried to rationalize her behavior. They suggested maybe she was testing the machine or had some other reason. However, most weren’t buying it.
To them, this was pure freeloading and entitlement. And in classic internet fashion, the jokes flew, with many dubbing it the ultimate “Costco hack gone wrong.”
“They are always trying to get over on someone or a business,” another adds.
“This is why we can’t have nice things,” chirps another.
“I’ll take things I’ve never even thought about doing for $200.“
“Is it free refills or not?” questions one more.
At the end of the day, it’s not a crime to refill a drink. But hauling in a cooler to stockpile free soda? That’s next-level audacity. If Costco ever pulls the plug on its beloved refill stations, you now know exactly who to blame.
