Indiana has had its fair share of shocking viral videos, but a recent incident outside a Bob Evans restaurant in Brownsburg may be one of the most infuriating to date. What started as two teenagers trying to do something positive by selling candy to raise money for their church turned into a disturbing scene of racism that has the entire internet buzzing.
The two Black teens were set up outside the restaurant on what should have been a peaceful evening. According to the TikTok clip, the confrontation began when a white man exiting the Indiana restaurant took issue with the boys’ presence. It all escalated after one of the teens said a simple, polite phrase: “God bless you.” Instead of taking the kind gesture, the man flew off the handle, sparking a nasty showdown that left everyone stunned.
The Indiana patron accused the kids of selling candy so they could “buy drugs,” a comment that was not only offensive but also wildly baseless. The teenagers quickly defended themselves, calmly explaining that they were raising funds for their church. They even tried to reprimand the man for the way he spoke to them, showing more composure than many adults might in such a heated moment.

But things didn’t stop there. In fact, the situation only grew uglier. As the video shows, the man unleashed a barrage of racial slurs, calling the teens the N-word and even “monkeys.” He mocked their hair and went so far as to tell them to “take their Black a–es down the road.” It was a disgusting escalation that shocked viewers, not just because of the words themselves, but also because his own children were standing nearby watching the entire scene. Imagine being so openly hateful in front of your kids, as if it were just another day in Indiana.
At one point, the man even shouted, “We about to throw hands. Go!” as the teens decided it was best to walk away. As if that wasn’t jaw-dropping enough, he doubled down by saying, “Now you’re going to get me going racist,” as though his previous words hadn’t already made that crystal clear.
TikTok users are already working overtime to identify him, and the video has quickly turned him into public enemy number one. The collective outrage is real, because while social media loves drama, it also doesn’t forget when someone shows their true colors in such an ugly way.
The Internet Was Horrified
“This man is dangerous to this community!!” one person commented. “Wow, he is a despicable horrible human. And unfortunately he will raise his kids to be racist just like him,” another stated. “This is disgusting behavior,” a third person chimed in.
What makes this whole situation even more heartbreaking is that it didn’t need to happen. Two kids were trying to do something good, representing their Indiana church and fundraising for a positive cause. Instead, they were publicly berated and humiliated for no reason other than the color of their skin.
