With the first half of the NFL’s top 100 players list being released a few days ago, there are a few Cleveland Browns who made the cut this time around. One of those players is the Browns’ star running back Nick Chubb as he ranked at number 33 out the 100.
Chubb is the Cleveland Browns’ second highest ranked player as the highest ranked player on the team ranking at number 11 is super-star defensive end, Myles Garrett. Garrett has been great for the Cleveland Browns ever since they drafted him with the first overall pick back in 2017.
Back in 2021, Myles Garrett ranked in the number 16 spot but his fantastic play since then has bumped him up a few spots to number 11, and it is very well deserved. The Cleveland Browns congratulated Myles Garrett with a tweet with a very inspirational quote from Garrett stating “The greatest of my generation, that’s what I’m trying to be.” as you can see linked.
Not Top 10?
While missing out on the top ten is a little surprising with how well Myles Garrett played last season as he broke the Cleveland Browns’ record for the most sacks in a single season, another good season and a playoff run from the Browns should hopefully push Garrett into the top ten for the 2023 season.
Myles Garrett is still the fourth-highest-ranked defender this season right behind DT Aaron Donald at number 2, DE T.J. Watt at number 6, and CB Jalen Ramsey at number 9. As Myles Garrett continues to chase greatness in this upcoming season the Cleveland Browns will really need him and his defense to turn it up with the Deshaun Watson situation.
Myles Garrett has always been a great leader for the Cleveland Browns and an icon for the City of Cleveland. Garrett is also a fan favorite for the hard work he puts in every year to try to help bring a Superbowl trophy to Cleveland. With the incredible season, Myles had last year fans can not wait to see how he will top that performance as he seems to always do.
Expect a big year from Myels
Myles has a great work ethic and is a very humble player so it will be very interesting to see how he handles week one against his former quarterback Baker Mayfield. For now, we will have to wait and see as week one continues to creep closer and closer.
