California Law Enforcement Officers Earn Praise After Viral Wheelchair Arrest Video: ‘Some Pretty Cool Cops’
Law enforcement officers certainly have a dangerous job. However, not every call is going to be life or death, and not every traffic stop will be a major substance bust. Nevertheless, most officers of the law continue to do their duty, and this recently posted TikTok video is a perfect reminder of that. The clip has around 819K likes and 4.8 million views as a California man interviews a group of cops as they have another man detained.
The TikTok would then begin with the man getting an up-close and personal angle of the arrest. He can then be heard saying, “Y’all just be out here arresting anybody.” It would appear as though the second man being in a wheelchair is what caused the person recording to make the clever remark. One of the California police officers then states, “You don’t even know what we arrested him for.” The cop then confirms that the man in the chair was allegedly in possession of an illegal substance.
Yet, the would-be criminal can be heard swearing to the camera that he is innocent. As the clip goes on, the male officer then claims that the man will just be getting a ticket, and he will be on his way. While the officer calls it “Cutting him a break,” the man in the chair is still claiming that he had “Nothing on” him.
TikTok Reacts To California Man’s Comedy Filled Arrest
Despite that, though, the TikTok comment section still had a lot to say regarding this encounter. “Why was the cop answering?” asked one. Another pointed out, “So law enforcement doesn’t have something similar to HIPAA.” Somebody else then claimed, “I love nosey people.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “These are actually some pretty cool cops.“
That’s not where the excitement ends, though. The California man’s TikTok video continues on as he goes over to talk to yet another police officer at the scene of the arrest. “Did you have to chase him?” he can be heard asking sarcastically. Suddenly, the camera moves over to reveal a second suspect to the shock of the cameraman.
Unfortunately, the clip would come to an end following this discovery, as the California man decided it was time to move on. At the end of the day, drugs are still very much illegal, and so is selling them. Hopefully, these men can turn their lives around, though. As for the police officers, they seemed super chill, and even let the one man off with just a ticket.
