During his 35 years as host of THE PRICE IS RIGHT, Bob made countless people’s dreams come true and everyone feel like a winner when they were called to ‘come on down,’” CBS said in a statement shared with Hollywood News Daily. “In addition to his legendary 50-year career in broadcasting, Bob will be remembered as a dedicated animal rights activist. Daytime television has lost one of its most iconic stars.”Fans will remember that he always encouraged fans to control the pet population at the end of each “Price is Right” episode.
The iconic host will be forever missed by fans across the globe. “Wow, I honestly thought he would live forever. RIP Bob Barker, I spent many afternoons with you at my Grandma’s house. They are some of my most cherished memories,” one fan tweeted. “Well he was 99 & we knew it was coming but it still saddens me.
