Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have been out enjoying a good old-fashioned hockey date night, but it wasn’t the Florida Panthers or the Edmonton Oilers grabbing the internet’s attention, it was Travis’ tiny shorts. Yes, really.
The superstar couple showed up at Game Four of the Stanley Cup Finals looking every bit the loved-up duo, but Swifties and sports fans alike zeroed in on one particular part of the outing: Travis Kelce’s bold (and very short) choice of red shorts. While the couple was clearly in great spirits during their Florida outing, laughing, kissing, and embracing in the stands, viewers couldn’t help but get a little distracted by just how high those shorts were riding up as he cozied up to Taylor Swift.
Photos and video clips from the night quickly went viral, with social media absolutely lighting up over the tight end’s barely-there bottoms. Kelce, 35, sat with his legs slightly apart, which offered the world a bit more of a view than maybe even he intended.
One fan joked, “Those shorts were such a TERRIBLE decision on Travis’ part. Lmfaoooo,” while another pleaded, “OMG get longer shorts Travis.” Someone else chimed in with, “Travis’ shorts make me nervous for him [not gonna lie],” and a fourth simply stated what everyone was thinking: “A little too short.”

The moment got so much traction online that the hashtag #travisplsweartrackpants actually started trending. Swifties, known for catching even the tiniest Easter eggs and details in Taylor’s work, had a field day. Some even cheekily referenced Taylor’s own lyrics, saying fans were definitely humming “Guilty as Sin” in their heads as Travis’ thighs made a surprise appearance on the big screen.
Despite the wardrobe mishap, the couple seemed completely unbothered and totally smitten. Between cuddles, kisses, and beaming smiles, their chemistry was on full display. At one point, Kelce wrapped his arms around Taylor while they stood to watch the game, and she placed her hands sweetly on top of his. It’s clear they’re in that head-over-heels phase, and the public isn’t mad about it, shorts drama and all.
The outing comes on the heels of their recent appearance at Kelce’s cousin’s wedding in Nashville, where the two took time to pose for photos with guests and were reportedly very down to earth. And while Taylor hasn’t been as visible lately, she and Travis have been spending quiet time in Florida ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason grind.

“Taylor has not been spotted much, but everyone is buzzing that she is here. Still, people really leave them alone,” a source shared, adding that she’s been spotted taking casual walks with her security team. “When they go out to eat or have drinks, people let them be.”
Another insider gushed about how good the downtime has been for them as a couple. “It’s been a dream period that’s only solidified that they’re on the same page about their future,” they said. “They already knew how compatible they were, but this break away from everything has allowed them to grow closer and be even more certain.”
So while Travis Kelce may have to rethink his summer wardrobe, his relationship with Taylor Swift is looking as strong as ever. And hey, if the biggest drama in your relationship is your boyfriend’s shorts trending online, you’re probably doing just fine.
