A Texas woman named Lauren is sharing a deeply personal story about her life, and includes a moment when she claims to have seen her “dead brother” while she was on vacation in Italy. While Lauren says that she understands some people may not believe her, or think she’s “crazy,” other people also allegedly saw him as well. Now, she’s taking to social media to reveal the details.
In an emotional TikTok video, Lauren says that she went from her home in Texas to Italy on vacation. While abroad, she claims to have seen what she believes is the spirit of her dead brother, and she wasn’t the only one.
“I know this is going to sound crazy, and I know I’m going to sound crazy when I tell y’all this, but just bear with me. This is not something I would lie about. This 100 percent happened, and I wasn’t the only one who saw him,” she started off her video.
Lauren went on to tell her followers that she and her group were in Italy for a total of seven days. During that time, they stopped in several different cities to explore. However, it wasn’t until she visited one coastal city that she got the shock of her life when she saw what she believed to be her late brother.
Texas Woman Reveals Gut-Wrenching Story Of Seeing Her Late Brother in Italy
For context, Lauren revealed that her brother died in August 2024 after he went cliff jumping at Lake Travis in Austin, Texas. Things went terribly wrong, and he drowned to death. Sadly, Lauren says she doesn’t know if she’ll ever find out the full story about what really happened that day.
While waiting for a ferry in Italy, Lauren, her parents, and younger sister noticed people cliff jumping from a large nearby rock. While her mother couldn’t bear to watch, Lauren says she and her father witnessed many people having a good time and jumping into the water.
However, things took a wild turn when a young man climbed up and readied himself to jump into the water. Lauren says she immediately began tearing up and said out loud that the man was her brother, Jayden. Her dad then looked to see what he also believed was his late son. To make her experience more validating, the man who was jumping off of the rock in Italy had the same unique tattoo that her brother also sported on his leg.
Lauren says she made eye contact with the man she believed to be her brother. The man then smiled at her and jumped off of the rock. It wasn’t until the man didn’t come out of the water that Lauren was fully convinced that it was the spirit of her brother. “His energy was there,” she said through tears.
Lauren Says She Knows She Sounds ‘Crazy’
“Call me crazy, but I’m fully convinced I saw his spirit while I was in Italy, and it was such a healing moment for me. I wouldn’t wish the loss of a sibling on anyone. it’s the hardest thing ive ever had to deal with. but i think this was my brothers way of letting me know he’s okay,” Lauren captioned the post.
Meanwhile, TikTok chimed in to offer support and love to the grieving Texas woman.
“Water is a portal; where spirits can manifest and can hold memory; he was saying his goodbye in a way that you could get closure because he smiled and made sure you saw him one last time smiling; and it’s clear that he is around water and around you; he wouldn’t have changed the way he went. i would thank him for allowing you to get one last chance to see him,” one person commented.
“He wanted you guys to see him one more time he was happy and that maybe can bring you some peace,” said another.
“That was definitely him, he’s def sending you and your family a message that he’s okay & he’s with u,” a third person commented.
While not everyone may fully believe Lauren’s story, the experience was meaningful for the Texas family and helped them find some peace and closure during their grief.
