Steph Curry is one of the biggest names in the sports world. The basketball player plays for the Oakland based Golden State Warriors and has won the league championship on several occasions with his team. However, one thing that fans may not know about the athlete is his connection to Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan. In fact, some fans will be stunned to learn that the pair are much closer than anyone could have imagined.

Recently, Lohan attended a Golden State Warriors game. After the game, Curry gifted the “Mean Girls” star is game-worn jersey. He also signed it for her young son, Luai. On the jersey, the NBA superstar clearly signs his name and refers to himself as the godfather of Lohan’s baby boy. “To Luai, your godparents love you. Warriors!!!” the message reads, per Life & Style.

It may be a bit of an odd friendship between Lindsay Lohan and Steph Curry. However, it’s likely that the duo met when Lohan worked on the Netflix film “Irish Wish” with the athlete’s wife, Ayesha Curry. It’s clear that the duo hit it off and became close enough for the former “Parent Trap” star to name the Curry’s godparents to her only child.

Of course, Steph and Ayesha have three children of their own. This means they know the ropes of parenting. They may even be a great source of inspiration to Lindsay and her husband, Bader Shammas. Either way, it’s clear that the two couples have cultivated a solid friendship and that Lohan has the famous pair to lean on when it comes to advice for raising her little one.

As for as celebrity godparents go, fans will likely be stunned to learn of Steph Curry and Lindsay Lohan’s connection. However, they appear to value each other and their families. So, why not?
