Unfortunately, even in today’s day and age, it is not always completely safe for a person to go out in public alone, especially if they are a woman. Human trafficking as well as kidnapping rates are high and still climbing. Take this recently posted TikTok video for example. The clip has around 38K likes and 1.3 million views as a young Ohio woman claims that she is being followed by two different vehicles while she is out running errands.

The TikTok video would then begin with the young woman sitting in her car as it is parked in a parking lot. She can then be heard saying, “So I’m like 99% sure that I am being followed right now.” The Ohio woman goes on to explain that she was in the middle of filming a sponsored video for the restaurant Jimmy John’s. She goes on to say that the two separate vehicles then followed her from the restaurant into the parking lot she stopped at to eat. Viewers then get a look at a red-colored SUV as well as the white van that may be in league with the other. The text on the screen also states that the clip is a “PSA” for “Avon, Ohio.”

TikTok Reacts To Ohio Woman’s Scary Situation

The TikTok comment section seems to also have a lot going through their minds during this, as many users would rush to leave behind their own thoughts on the encounter. “Meanwhile they’re filming a Subway review thinking you’re following them,” joked one. Another pointed out, “When in doubt, go to the police station!” Somebody else then said, “Never drive home if you think you’re being followed.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “I’m glad you pay attention to your surroundings!”

As the TikTok video goes on, the young Ohio woman states that she has more things to do while she is out. However, she also claims that she is “Freaking scared,” and who could really blame her for that? The woman then tells the camera that she plans on just going home.

Sadly, the TikTok video would come to an end following that, but the Ohio woman would write in her own comment section that her father came to get her and they finished her errands together. At the end of the day, this may seem like an overreaction, but this kind of thing is a real threat, especially to young women. Hopefully, everyone got home safe after all the shopping was done, though.
