While shopping at pretty much any kind of store, especially if one is shopping for beauty items, it’s a pretty common practice to smell whatever item you intend on purchasing. Whether that be cologne, perfume, hairspray, or countless other items, most people have done it at least once in their lives. However, in this recently posted TikTok video, a New York Karen would call out for “Help,” after seeing two teens shopping for hairspray.
The TikTok starts off with the older woman screaming for “Help” as the action is already underway. Sadly, this woman’s call for help is unnecessary, as it is actually the two younger women who need help. The Karen has been harassing the teens for allegedly “Using product” without buying it. Although the woman recording claims that she just wanted to see what it smelled like first. The older woman then causes a huge scene as store employees show up to see what all the yelling is about. The Karen then claims that the young women are “Harassing” her, which is a blatant lie. Although it is unknown what happened off-camera, that just doesn’t appear to be the situation here.
TikTok Roasts Rude New York Karen
The TikTok comment section was also ready to rock following this altercation. Many would flood the clip to leave behind their own thoughts on the matter at hand. The first comment states, “Hello, I’m the first worker that showed up. I could hear that lady screaming HELP from sporting goods and thought she needed an ambulance. I was honestly disappointed when I arrived.”
“The universe knows not to put me in these situations,” wrote another. “She was screaming help like she fell down and couldn’t get up,” joked one more. Finally, one other commenter asked, “Why do they think the store employees are the police?” It would seem as though even the comment section is confused over this nonsense.
As the TikTok video continues, the New York Karen also continues to rage over the alleged use of the product. However, the store’s employees seem not to care one bit, funny enough. At the end of the day, this was not something Karen had to make a huge sink about. These kinds of videos seem to be becoming increasingly more popular as time goes on. Hopefully, these young New York women won’t have to deal with this kind of thing again anytime soon. As for the Karen herself, though, maybe next time just mind your own business.
