Instead, social media users have zeroed in on something much simpler: what her kids were wearing during a California family outing.
The SKIMS founder recently attended Scott Disick’s 43rd birthday dinner at Nobu Malibu, bringing along several of her children for the celebration. The family gathering reportedly included Chicago, Saint, and Psalm, along with Kris Jenner, Scott Disick and his children Mason, Penelope, and Reign. Kim’s boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton, and his mother, Carmen Larbalestier, were also said to be in attendance.
As expected, California photographers captured the celebrity-packed evening. But while Kim Kardashian’s own outfit drew the usual attention, online critics quickly shifted their focus elsewhere. For the dinner, Kim stepped out in one of her signature polished looks, pairing a black windbreaker-style jacket with a fitted gray skirt, oversized sunglasses, and strappy heels while wearing her hair in a sleek pulled-back style.

Meanwhile, internet detectives began zooming in on photos of Saint and Psalm. Some users claimed they spotted stains on Saint’s shirt, while others pointed to what appeared to be wet marks across Psalm’s sweater. Before long, screenshots made their way across Reddit and other social media platforms, where debate erupted almost immediately.
Not everyone saw the issue the same way. Some commenters argued that they’re simply children and that kids getting food or drink on their clothes isn’t exactly headline-worthy, especially if they had just eaten before the photos were taken. “Kids get dirty. No big deal,” one person wrote.
Others were far more critical. One commenter wrote, “Why are the kid’s clothing dirty. You can see the two boys especially have stains on their shirts. Not dissing the kids but that is the fault of the parent in charge. She no doubt spent hours on her look with a team of hair and make up people but her own kids look like they slept in their clothes.”
Another added, “I’m sorry, but the kids look like they are spoilt and bossy. Entitled.” A final person said, “This is irresponsible of Kim.”
Is This A Big Deal?
The renewed scrutiny comes as Kardashian’s parenting choices have repeatedly become topics of public debate over the years. She previously stirred conversation during an appearance on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream in 2025 when she shared her opinion on homework.
“I don’t believe in homework,” Kim Kardashian said. “Kids are in school for eight hours a day.” She went on to explain her reasoning, adding, “When they come home, they should be doing sports, having a life, and spending time with their family. I think homework should stay at school.”
Those comments generated plenty of discussion at the time, with some parents applauding the idea of giving children more downtime while others argued homework still plays an important educational role.
As for the latest controversy, opinions remain just as divided. Some viewers believe the photos show nothing more than kids being kids, while others think parents with nearly unlimited resources should be paying closer attention before stepping into the public eye.
Either way, a couple of visible stains have once again managed to turn an otherwise ordinary Kim Kardashian family dinner into another full-blown internet debate.
