In California, what was meant to be a simple breakup quickly escalated into a frightening situation for one college student. Brendan, a student at Loyola Marymount University, thought sending a straightforward text to end a toxic relationship would be enough. But he was in for a shocking surprise.

After sending the breakup text, @brendan.jazmines’ ex-boyfriend, who lives nearly two hours away, didn’t take it well. Within hours, he showed up on Brendan’s California campus, intent on confronting him in person.

Fortunately, Brendan wasn’t in his dorm at the time, which likely prevented the situation from becoming even more dangerous. Brendan shared his frightening story on TikTok, revealing that his ex’s unexpected arrival triggered a serious response from campus security.

Breakup Sparks Frightening Obsession In California

With the support of friends, Brendan was able to navigate the situation safely while authorities escorted the ex off the California university grounds. After hours of tension and deliberation, security successfully removed the uninvited visitor, allowing Brendan to return to his dorm safely.

Even after the immediate danger passed, the ordeal left the California student emotionally shaken. Sleepless nights, anxiety, and the lingering fear of someone refusing to respect boundaries highlight the serious consequences of obsessive behaviors in relationships, especially in a college setting.

Brendan claims that he is ok and safe following the event. But asks followers to excuse his dry-eyed appearance in the video, adding that it has been “really hard to sleep after what happened.” He also thanked everyone for all the support and advice, stating that it has been so helpful.

He couldn’t handle losing a baddie,” one follower writes.

“I would suggest filing a police report for stalking just to secure a paper trail in case he tries to confront you off campus,” suggests another.

California students and others everywhere should take this as a warning. Toxic relationships can escalate quickly, and even a simple breakup may require extra caution. Always lean on friends for support, involve campus authorities when necessary, and never underestimate the risks when dealing with an obsessive ex.
