The world of sports can get people’s blood pressure up for sure, especially if their child is involved. However, it’s important to remember that at the end of the day, it’s only a game. However, this Utah mother apparently had a hard time remembering that, as she can be seen bullying a teen following a high school basketball game. A recently posted TikTok video with around 200K likes and three million views shows the altercation as social media users choose sides.
The TikTok starts off with the altercation already taking place, sadly. However, the video’s caption reads, “Karen walked up to my niece after her basketball game and told her she looks hideous, her tan is so fake, and that she was orange.” The young woman and the Karen then begin to argue as she can be heard telling her that her tan is “Natural.” However, an older man is also in the mix as he yells at the Utah Karen as well. It is then that the principal and her assistant step in to separate the adults. The male staff member can be heard telling them to “Go to the bus” about a thousand times throughout the clip.
TikTok Reacts To Utah High School Drama
The TikTok comment section was also not about to let this slide. Many would flood the video to leave behind their own thoughts on the altercation, as well as make fun of the “Crazy Eyes,” Karen. “These parents who are cruelly mocking a child for no reason at all,” wrote one. “Imagine having those parents as her role models,” pointed out another. “She looks like her hair is crunchy,” joked one commenter. “Personally, I would have thrown hands,” stated one more. Finally, one last person wrote, “Too much talking, throw some hands.” It would seem as though most of the commenters wanted the family to take more action than they did.
Sadly, the TikTok video would come to an end after this. However, the Utah woman would post a Story Time TikTok video for a little more context. Apparently, the two families have some history, as their children got into a little high school drama. There was allegedly some name-calling as well.
At the end of the day, this Utah Karen went way over the line. An adult calling out someone else’s child like that is never okay, and that’s pretty obvious. Hopefully, that young woman wasn’t too hurt by the comments, as they were extremely rude. As for the Karen herself, maybe it’s time for some serious self-reflection.
