The tragic news hit hard early Thursday, July 17, confirming on Facebook what fans feared. Though she signed off with love and hope in her final message on July 4, the truth behind the scenes was far darker. While the world saw a glittering star, behind the spotlight was a woman battling decades of heartbreak, trauma, and pain that never let up.
The beloved singer walked down the aisle four times. However, her heart belonged to just one man, crooner Bobby Darin. Sadly, their love was doomed from the start. Her father disapproved of their romance, leading her to hide her feelings even after Darin married someone else.
