Despite having two adopted children and an estranged biological daughter, Suri Cruise, Tom allegedly wants one more shot.
Tom Cruise may be a 62-year-old action star, who’s starred in more than 70 films and has legions of loyal fans declaring him “the best actor of all time.” However, his life isn’t quite perfect. Sure, he’s riding a high professionally. He’s reportedly dating the stunning Knives Out star Ana de Armas, jetting around the globe, and grinning his signature megawatt smile. But there’s one chapter of his life that’s always loomed like a shadow, his strained relationship with his youngest daughter, Suri Cruise.
Suri, now 19, was once the darling of the paparazzi, frequently seen hand-in-hand with her mother, Katie Holmes. Since Tom and Katie’s dramatic split in 2012, though, the superstar dad has reportedly been absent from Suri’s life. While Cruise has legally challenged accusations that he “abandoned” his daughter, insiders confirm that their relationship has remained virtually nonexistent over the past decade, per Heat World.

Even though Tom is said to be covering Suri’s college tuition as part of the divorce settlement, it doesn’t seem like there’s been much personal connection between the two in recent years. “Tom’s madly in love with Ana,” a source revealed, adding that he’s told friends he wants to have a child with her, maybe even two. “He sees this as a second chance at the kind of family life he’s always wanted.”
It might sound ambitious for a man in his 60s, but if there’s one thing we know about Tom Cruise, it’s that he doesn’t do anything halfway. “He laughs at the idea that he’s too old,” the source continued. “He says he’s never felt fitter or more full of energy. If anything, he feels more capable now than he did the first three times around.”
Suri Cruise Has Been Estranged From Famous Father For Over A Decade
Cruise already has two adult adopted children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, from his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman. Both were raised in the Church of Scientology and chose to live with Tom after the couple’s split, a move that created distance, and possibly tension with Nicole, who was reportedly labeled a “Suppressive Person” (SP) by the Church. But Cruise might be softening. He’s reportedly planning to reunite with Nicole and their kids this summer in Europe, something many wouldn’t have believed possible.
Why now? It seems De Armas has had a big impact on the actor. “Ana has shifted his perspective on everything,” the insider explained. “He’s just so darn happy right now. It’s made him a lot more magnanimous and he’s seeing things through a very different lens.”
The couple, who are co-starring in the upcoming supernatural thriller Deeper, were first seen out together on Valentine’s Day in London. Since then, they’ve racked up private jet trips, swanky dinners, including her birthday celebration, and even made a joint appearance at David Beckham’s birthday bash. Most recently, they were spotted having an intimate meal at Annabel’s, one of London’s most exclusive celeb hangouts.
