Disputes over unpaid wages can be a stressful experience. But in Texas, one family says the disagreement escalated into something far more alarming and dangerous. After leaving a house leveling company, a former employee claims he was owed over $35,000 for work he completed.

When attempts to resolve the payment failed, the conflict reportedly spilled over, and the employee’s family became the target of threatening and aggressive behavior. The situation highlights the risks that can arise when workplace conflicts are ignored, demonstrating that wage disputes sometimes have consequences far beyond the office or job site.

According to @emyleepriem‘s recent TikTok, the harassment included multiple frightening encounters near the family’s home. Video footage reportedly shows a man approaching the property, throwing items, damaging decorations, and yelling aggressively. On at least one occasion, he is said to have blocked a family member’s vehicle, continuing to shout threats and make intimidating gestures. Even going as far as to wish harm on the couple’s young child.

Texas Family Terrified By Former Employee’s Harassment

The family claims that these encounters were persistent, creating a climate of fear and anxiety. Observers online expressed concern over the severity of the behavior, noting that targeting a former employee’s family is both inappropriate and potentially criminal.

In Texas, repeated aggressive actions intended to cause fear for personal safety. Or the safety of family members can be prosecuted under criminal harassment or assault statutes. Victims have the right to seek protective orders and involve law enforcement, and they may pursue civil claims for emotional distress caused by intimidation or threats.

“This is absolutely insane! There are demons among us. Please be careful,” one commenter warns.

Sage your whole front porch, dude, and get a Bible and pray over your property, holy moly!” another suggests.

Get a restraining order, and no more warnings,” writes a third.

Most states have similar legal safeguards, recognizing that retaliatory behavior directed at family members is taken very seriously. Individuals who engage in such harassment risk significant legal consequences, including fines, restraining orders, and potential jail time.

STORY TIME — Harassment, Vandalism, and Endangerment from Aztecs house leveling and remodeling FINEST. My husband worked for this company for 14 years. He gave them his time, his loyalty, and his skills. For years, things were fine — until the last four years, when the work environment became hostile, abusive, and completely consuming. He was working 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., six days a week, sometimes Sundays. I rarely saw my husband. His mental health deteriorated rapidly from the constant demands and lack of boundaries. When we had our son, things crossed a line I will never forget. While I was still in the hospital after giving birth, they called my husband out of the hospital to return to work, saying he had already been away too long. One week after our son was born, we made the decision to leave and start our own company to protect our family and my husband’s mental health. When he left, he was still owed over $37,000 for work he had already completed. The owner acknowledged the debt and agreed to pay it — but never did. After months of being ignored and lied to, we cut ties completely, blocked their numbers, and had no contact for five months. Until today. While I was driving to get groceries with my 6-month-old baby in the car, the owner’s son aggressively pulled up next to me, tried to get me to stop, kept cutting me off almost hitting my car, and screamed derogatory and slanderous statements at me. I managed to get away, but he immediately began calling and texting my husband, saying he was going to find me. He then showed up at our home, where he vandalized our property, banged on our door, spit on our door and windows, and continued yelling. This is all on video. After leaving our home, he found me again on a nearby street and attempted to box my vehicle in, continuing to scream, flip me off, and act aggressively. At that point, I feared he was going to physically damage my car or hurt us. I was on the phone with the police while trying to get away, with my baby screaming in the back seat. I ultimately drove to a fire station for safety, at which point he fled. I waited there until police arrived. This behavior is harassment, vandalism, intimidation, and endangerment. I have video evidence of the vandalism and slander, police involvement, and witnesses. This is not just about unpaid wages anymore — this is about how this company and its family handle conflict, money, and power. I am sharing this as a warning. #fyp #valley #956 #harlingentx #aztechouseleveling

Protecting Your Family

This case underscores the importance of taking proactive measures when facing harassment. Families should document all incidents and communications, install home security systems or cameras, and immediately contact law enforcement if threats occur.

Consulting with a lawyer experienced in employment or criminal law can guide both legal remedies and protective measures. Acting promptly can prevent further escalation and help ensure the safety of everyone involved.

In this ecconomy times are tough all over. When it comes to financial struggles, most people are walking a fine line. Most people are feeling the financial pressures. But regardless, this type of unhinged behavior should be taken seriously.

These actions are illegal and pose serious risks, making it essential for families to remain vigilant. Understanding legal rights in Texas, and everywhere and taking decisive steps to protect loved ones are critical.
