Shoresy Success Sparks More Letterkenny Spin-Offs

The success of “Shorsey,” a spin-off of the hit comedy series “Letterkenny” has sparked even more projects within the universe. Fans who fell in love with the comedy of the original Canadian series flocked to watch actor Jared Keeso play the hard-chirping, devoted hockey player in “Shoresy.” Now, fans will get to see even more of that style of television as a new deal has been struck to give the viewers what they want.

Letterkenny & Shoresy are beloved by fans

As “Letterkenny” is set to wrap up its 12-season run later this month. Meanwhile, “Shoresy” has been picked up for a third season and fans are dying to find out what’s next for the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs. Meanwhile, Jared Keeso inked a new deal with Crave and Bell Media that will include new “Letterkenny” spin-offs and an all-new series, per CTV News.

“‘Letterkenny’ and ‘Shoresy’ are consistently among the most-watched series on Crave, which is a testament to Jared’s creative vision and keen ability to create ground-breaking, culturally relevant content,” Justin Stockman, vice president of content development and programming for Bell Media, said in a PR release.

New merch will also be made available

Fans can expect to see more of “Letterkenny” and “Shoresy,” as well as any spin-offs and new projects. Keeso’s new deal will also include merch among other things.

“In addition to the content commitment, the companies continue to collaborate on existing and new ancillary brand extensions, including merchandise and live productions,” Bell Media said.

Shoresy Season 3 began filming in November

The first season of “Shoresy” was such a big hit that Season 3 was confirmed before Season 2 began airing. The “Letterkenny” spin-off focuses on the Sudbury Bulldogs AAA hockey team and their wild, outgoing, and loveable captain. The comedy series began filming in Sudbury, Canada this fall.

According to Screen Rant, Season 3 of the series will have six episodes, the same as the first two seasons. However, fans would certainly be interested in seeing more episodes if the show were to continue on for Season 4 and beyond.

It’s unclear when Season 3 will begin airing. However, it was about a nine-month gap between filming and airing Season 2. Perhaps viewers will get to see Season 3’s episodes in mid to late summer.

What to expect in Season 3

When Season 2 ended, the Sudbury Bulldogs had gone undefeated in their league, setting a new record. However, their season was over yet. As playoffs loom, Shoresy was tasked with getting his team ready to fight for a championship.

In addition, the show’s main love story of Shoresy and Laura had also erupted as the two finally seem to be on the same page. After two seasons, Laura has seemed to fall for the titular character, and fans are loving it.

Fans can see the first two seasons of “Shoresy,” which is currently streaming on Hulu.
