In a time where “gentle parenting” and mental health awareness are all the rage, it’s jarring to stumble across a TikTok creator who proudly admits to kicking out her 9-year-old daughter and has seemingly built an entire online identity around it. Now, this Oklahoma mother is creating a buzz online.

An Oklahoma TikToker named Meg has made headlines and raised plenty of eyebrows after repeatedly sharing the story of how she sent her daughter away at just nine years old. Now, three years later, she’s still talking about it. The daughter is 12, and according to Meg, not much has changed. “In those three years, we haven’t made any progress,” she states in one of her many videos about the situation.

From the outside looking in, this feels less like a desperate mother sharing her story for support and more like a troubling public spectacle. The repeated phrasing Meg uses, such as “kicked her out,” just doesn’t sit right. It paints a harsh image, one that many viewers haven’t been able to shake. While Meg clarifies that her daughter wasn’t put “on the streets” and is living with her paternal grandparents and “father-ish” (her words, not ours), it hasn’t stopped people from criticizing what feels like a parental abandonment wrapped in vague justifications.

Oklahoma Mom Raises Eyebrows With TikToks About Kicking 9-Year-Old Daughter Out Of The House

Meg has been posting about this situation on and off for years, but things really ramped up recently when she launched a GoFundMe and started flooding her page with content related to her daughter’s mental health struggles. According to Meg, her child has been in therapy since the age of three, started medication at five, and has allegedly tried more than 100 different meds.

She also mentions that her daughter’s school attempted to press assault charges multiple times and that the Oklahoma Juvenile Authority got involved, but due to her daughter’s age, there wasn’t much they could legally do.

Parenting a child with severe mental health issues is beyond difficult. It can be isolating, heartbreaking, and completely overwhelming. No one should dismiss that. However, turning it into an online saga, with hundreds of videos and a fundraising campaign, is where things get confusing for fans.

What’s even more disturbing is that this child, now 12, has had her trauma and potentially her medical history broadcast to thousands of strangers online. There’s no mention of the daughter’s voice in any of this. No updates about how she feels, how she’s coping, or if she even knows she’s the subject of all this viral content.

Meg insists that she made the decision to remove her daughter from the home to protect her other children from harm. And if her daughter’s outbursts truly posed a danger, then yes, it’s a complicated situation with no easy answers.

The internet loves drama, but it also loves accountability. And when it comes to vulnerable kids, people are quick to speak up.

The Internet Has A Lot To Say

“I don’t know your situation but your tone sounds like there’s a lot of resentment on your end,” one person wrote.

“Unless you’ve experienced this you’ll never fully understand,” another person stated.

“The reality is you had to protect your other kids,” a third comment read.

“I’m so sad for your daughter,” said a fourth TikTok user.

One thing’s for sure, this story is messy, unsettling, and a stark reminder of how social media has blurred the lines between personal pain and public content. However, everyone seems to be rooting for this Oklahoma family during the difficult time.
