John Travolta has been open about the grieving process. The “Grease” star lost his beloved wife, actress Kelly Preston, to breast cancer in 2020. Since that time, Travolta has seemingly been focused on moving forward with his life and spending all of the time he can with his and Preston’s two children, Ella and Benjamin. Now, more than three years after Preston’s tragic death, Travolta is ready to open up his heart again, and he’s looking for love.

The Things reports that John Travolta has decided that the time is right to begin dating again. He allegedly wants to find a life partner and he’s doing all that he can to ensure that he’s attracting the right one. That includes hiring a matchmaker to help him find his next great love.
“John just needed to feel ready, and now he is,” a source said of the situation. “He knows Kelly wouldn’t want him to spend the rest of his life alone, so he’s finally allowing friends to line him up with dates. John will always have his kids’ love and Kelly’s memory, but he’s beginning to yearn for a partner to share the rest of his life with.”
The actor wants a matchmaker to help him find love
John Travolta is allegedly looking for someone that would obviously be open to his role as a father. He’s also said to be interested in finding a life partner that is funny, kind, and spontaneous. It also likely would be great if they liked to fly as the “Face Off” star is a pilot who’s been known to hit the skies.
“John believes a matchmaker would save time by finding someone who meets his list of criteria,” the insider dished. “He’s not asking for much, just that she be kind, warm, gracious, funny, and spontaneous. And being attractive wouldn’t hurt.”
Kelly Preston’s death was the latest in a long line of heartbreak for Travolta
Sadly, John Travolta’s life has been full of tragedy. He lost his wife, mother, and longtime girlfriend, Diana Hyland, to breast cancer. His longtime friend and “Grease” co-star also died of breast cancer. In addition, he was forced to say goodbye to another co-star and pal, Kirstie Alley, who also succumbed to cancer. Sadly, he and Preston’s oldest son, Jett, also passed away at the age of 16 back in 2009.
In the past, the actor has been linked to stars like Marilu Henner and Brooke Shields. He’s also been rumored to have dated men like Dough Gotterba and Paul Barresi in the past, per Famous Fix.
Only time will tell if John Travolta will be able to find another great love following Kelly Preston’s death. However, fans are rooting for him to find what he’s looking for after a life full of tragedy.
