The political divide in the United States of America is about as wide as it has ever been, or even wider. However, with that being said, it would seem as though a lot of US citizens may be switching sides after the first months of President Donald Trump’s second term in the Oval Office. Take this Georgia woman, for example; she recently posted a TikTok video showing herself taking down her pro-Trump memorabilia. The clip has around 51K likes and 640K views, as the woman is receiving a lot of mixed feelings.
The TikTok video starts off with the woman walking into her garage. Inside the building, viewers can see two massive pro-Trump and MAGA flags hanging on a wall. One of the flags even had vulgar language plastered across it, right about where the woman has two big-wheel bikes hanging for her children. Although as the Georgia woman walks in, she is carrying a ladder. She then places the ladder underneath the flags before clearing out some items blocking her path. She can then be seen ripping the first flag off of the wall. The video’s caption also describes this action as “Taking out the trash.”

However, despite this woman turning over a new leaf, she is facing a lot of mixed feelings in the video’s comment section. “I do not forgive you,” wrote one. Another said, “I’m proud of you, and remember it’s okay to be Republican and not be MAGA.” Someone else then asked, “So what was the turning point? Trump has been the same since day one.” A separate commenter also pointed out, “It’s giving being personally affected.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “Unlike some of the others, I don’t care how you got here, but I’m glad you’re here.”
As the TikTok video continues, the Georgia woman can be seen taking down all of the stuff off of the wall and out of the way of the two flags as she continues to rip them down. The woman seems to be in a pretty good mood while she works as well, as it most likely feels good to start fresh.
At the end of the day, people can change, and this Georgia woman is a prime example of that very fact. Hopefully, she can continue to live a happy life with her new political views, as she won’t face too much backlash for her past mistakes that she is attempting to atone for.
