Being a parent is not an easy job by any means. Kids can be wild, and sometimes accidents happen. Now, with that being said, it’s also important for parents to stay vigilant and keep an eye on their little ones. Yet, that’s easier said than done, and this recently posted TikTok video only further proves that point. The clip has around 600K likes and 5.4 million views as this California Karen crashes out on a mother and her toddler inside of a Target.
The TikTok video starts off with everyone involved already in the self-checkout aisle. The text on the screen then gives a little more context to the altercation that viewers are about to witness. The text reads, “Would you guys have said something too, or stayed quiet? I was not going to tolerate any disrespect, especially when it comes to my baby.” Finally, viewers get a look at the California Karen as she storms over the young woman who has started to record her. The Karen comes in hot and fires off some quick and vulgar insults towards the younger woman. However, the mother fires right back with her own insults. Although something is off about the older woman, as she is wearing a napkin under her glasses like some kind of eye-patch.

The issue allegedly stems from the younger woman’s child running out into the aisle while the mother was looking at an item on the shelves. In a very child-like manner, the kid wasn’t paying any attention, and the Karen ran into him with her cart. This reportedly knocked the child down to the ground as well. According to the video’s caption, the California Karen didn’t even apologize after, but instead began mom-shamming the young woman, as seen in the TikTok video.
The TikTok comment section was also up in arms following this, as many would flock to the video in order to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions regarding the matter at hand. “I don’t think she’s seeing this situation clearly,” joked one. Another wanted to know, “Is anyone gonna talk about the napkin?” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “I just have so many questions about what I just watched.”
As the TikTok video continues, the California Karen only gets angrier and angrier, at one point she even calls the child an “Idiot” and tells the mother that he will “Get hit by a car.” She also calls the store’s aisles the “Road,” many times in the video, before the woman recording makes fun of her for it. The Target employees have also stepped in by now, as they attempt to de-escalate the situation. The TikTok would end with the young woman leaving. However, security continues to talk to the Karen, and hopefully, she got in some kind of trouble.
