Having any kind of job in the service industry can be a very stressful career from time to time. However, when customers are unnecessarily rude, it can make things a whole lot worse. That’s what this Tennessee man had experienced while shopping at his local Walgreens. Luckily, the man recording wasn’t about to let that slide as he came rushing to this employee’s aid amid the in-store altercation. He would then post a TikTok video showing the situation as the clip has gone viral. With over 100K likes and 1 million views, social media users can’t get enough of this latest public meltdown.
The TikTok begins with the man recording himself waking up to the Walgreens checkout line. Although when he arrives, an older gentleman with a walking cane is already in line, but not for what most would expect. The man in the video seems to have some kind of problem with the store and is taking it out on the assistant manager. It seems as though the older Tennessee man is attempting to get some kind of refund for an item worth around $50 in price. Yet, the way the man is going about it is completely uncalled for, as he is heard being incredibly rude to the woman working that day.
TikTok Reacts To Tennessee Man’s Walgreens Encounters
As the video progresses, the man recording finally speaks up. “Where’s your manager at?” the man recording asks the woman. Unfortunately, the elderly man then answers for the employee as he states the manager is “Out of the store.” However, it would also appear that the older man believed the person recording was on his side. So, he would look pretty shocked when the man would tell the employee that she could make this old man leave whenever she wanted. “You can tell him to leave,” says the Tennessee man in the TikTok. “Call the cops, they will escort him out,” he quickly added.
Shortly after the interaction with the elderly man and the assistant manager, another woman appears demanding help. She allegedly has to pick up her son, and “Doesn’t care” about the other person’s refund. However, the Tennessee man recording wasn’t having any of this and began to give the new woman a piece of his mind as well. The man wanted to know what made her so special, and he even let him know that he also has a child he needs to go pick up.
Finally, another employee came over to help and defuse the situation. It’s clear that this Tennessee man was sick of seeing others act like this and decided to do something about it. While he could have maybe gone about it a little better, at least he wasn’t too rude about it either. At the end of the day, nobody was hurt, and hopefully everyone involved learned a valuable lesson.
