Working in retail can be a very stressful job, as it comes with a lot of work that involves talking to customers. However, while on the clock, it is important to try your very best to remain professional despite the situation. A lot of clips on social media show how hard that can be to do, though. Sometimes customers just go too far. Yet, this recently posted TikTok video shows what happens when an employee crosses the line. The video has around 5K likes and 89.5K views, as this Alabama Dollar Tree employee is very rude to two unsuspecting customers.

The TikTok begins with the two walking through the Dollar Tree. However, a voice can quickly be heard via the store’s intercom saying, “You’ve got two minutes. If you’re not up here, see you tomorrow.” It would appear as though the store is closing, and the worker is attempting to get the customers out, or they are threatening to lock them in overnight. The video’s caption also states that the Alabama women in the clip “Just wanted to look at the craft supplies.”

TikTok Reacts To Impatient Alabama Dollar Tree Employee

The TikTok comment section was also unhappy about what they had just witnessed. Many would flood the video in order to leave behind their own thoughts on the situation. One person wrote, “My store closes at nine, and I have people who will come in at 8:55. It makes me so mad, like why wait that late. This situation seems odd, though.” Another joked, “She was ready to go home.” Finally, one last comment read, “Dollar Tree is known for not being properly staffed and not wanting to pay for overtime.”

As the TikTok video continues, the Alabama woman would appear on screen after the clip cuts. It is then that viewers get a little more context to the situation, as the woman explains they still had around an hour left before the store closed. She also pointed out that it was a Saturday, and typically, businesses are open a little later on the weekends.

At the end of the day, this was just an unfortunate encounter for this Alabama woman. Hopefully, she was able to look at the craft supplies in peace as the store was, in fact, not closing. As for the Dollar Tree employee, maybe there was some kind of emergency, but if not, this is not how you handled customer service at all.
