When getting something to eat or drink from any kind of restaurant, the expectation is that everything inside the meal or beverage is edible. However, that is just not always the case. Unfortunately for this New Jersey woman, she would have to deal with this very situation. A recently posted TikTok video by the account @melissaastevenss shows the discovery as social media user rage. The video has around 108K likes and 3.2 million views as it has officially reached viral status.
The TikTok begins with a couple standing in their kitchen with some kind of smoothie-like drink sitting in a strainer in their sink. The pinkish liquid seems to have nothing wrong with it at first glance, though. Yet, when the woman would turn the sink on and allow the water to strain the smoothie, the discovery was horrific. Inside the now-empty strainer were multiple pieces of a dark, metal-like substance. The man in the video can then be heard saying, “Yeah, that literally looks like parts of a blender.” As the camera zooms in, social media users can see clearly as day one big hunk of metal with smaller pieces breaking off of it.
TikTok Is Shook Over New Jersey Woman’s Discovery
The TikTok comment section was up in arms over this, as many would flood the video to leave behind their own opinions on the matter. “Shame on them,” wrote one. The official Panera TikTok account would also comment, saying, “We take this seriously. Please send us a DM.” However, another comment reads, “Don’t let them handle this through a DM. Contact a layer.” Finally, one other said, “I worked at Panera. That is absolutely the bottom of a blender.” It would seem like TikTok may be more upset about this than the people filming the video.
As the TikTok continues, the New Jersey woman even picks up a piece of the mystery item, as it is fairly large in size. Despite the main chunk of metal, many other smaller pieces also lay around the inside of the strainer. The man in the video then states, “Yeah, that’s gross,” as the TikTok cuts off.
Sadly, it is unknown what happens next, but hopefully, these New Jersey residents were able to at least get their money back. Accidents can happen, but this could have ended very badly. Luckily, nobody was hurt this time around, though. Fast food and other restaurants may be convenient, but they might also not always be the best choice.
