Morgan Wallen Leaves Arizona Crowd Stunned After Bizarre Cheating Comments: ‘You’re Safe Here’

Leave it to Morgan Wallen to stir the pot in true country fashion. The “Last Night” singer had fans laughing and maybe squirming a little during his recent performance in Glendale, Arizona, when he took a not-so-subtle jab at a very public cheating scandal. One that didn’t even involve him, but clearly caught his attention.

While onstage, Morgan Wallen told the roaring Arizona crowd, “Anybody in here with their side chick or whatever, I think you’re safe here.” The line landed, but it was the kicker that raised eyebrows. He added, “I don’t condone cheating … anymore.”

The comment came just days after the now-infamous Coldplay concert in Boston, where a corporate affair was accidentally outed in front of thousands and eventually millions, thanks to the internet. The drama began when Coldplay’s kiss cam panned across the crowd and zeroed in on Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his HR chief, Kristin Cabot. Instead of looking happy to be featured, the two looked terrified, which made sense later, once people discovered they were both very much married to other people (via Page Six).

Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, promptly dropped his last name on Facebook before deactivating her account altogether. Meanwhile, Kristin Cabot was outed as the wife of Privateer Rum’s CEO, Andrew Cabot.

Naturally, internet sleuths did their thing and found out that the pair had been living seemingly normal married lives up until the public exposure. Property records show Kristin and her husband bought a $2.2 million New England-style home in New Hampshire just last year.

As the scandal gained steam, Astronomer placed both Andy and Kristin on leave and later confirmed that Andy had resigned from his role as CEO. It’s a messy, corporate soap opera, one that probably didn’t need a cameo from Morgan Wallen, but honestly, we’re glad it got one.

The Crowd Went Wild

And while Morgan kept things mostly playful during his set, the line about not condoning cheating “anymore” felt a bit like a wink to his own complicated past. Wallen’s love life has never been the picture of stability, and this little moment may have been his way of saying, “Yeah, I’ve been there. I’ve grown.” Or maybe it was just a well-timed joke. Either way, the crowd ate it up.

Fans online are still buzzing about the comment, debating whether it was a dig, a confession, or just classic Morgan being Morgan. “Petty Wallen is my favorite Wallen,” one fan commented on TikTok, while another joked, “Somewhere Kristin and Andy are sweating.”

If Morgan Wallen’s Arizona show taught us anything, it’s that even in a world full of corporate chaos and viral kiss cam disasters, there’s always room for a little humor, a little honesty, and a whole lot of country music drama.
