Another day, another Mama June family mess making headlines, and this time it’s all about Pumpkin. Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, the 25-year-old daughter of June Shannon, has officially been evicted from her Georgia trailer after racking up nearly $4,000 in unpaid rent and fees. Yikes.

According to documents exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Pumpkin skipped out on paying $3,000 in rent plus $110 in late fees. That’s not all — she also neglected to pay her electric bill, which, according to her landlord, was supposed to be “turned on in her home but was not.” So she was living in a trailer, with no electricity, and still not paying rent? Sounds like a situation straight out of Mama June: Family Crisis.

The landlord alleged in the complaint that Pumpkin was not only living in the trailer but may have also been using it to run her side hustle, Sister’s Closet, a small family-run shop where she and her relatives sell new and used items. A creative hustle for sure, but apparently not enough to cover the monthly $1,500 rent.

A court clerk involved in the eviction confirmed that the issue is technically resolved — but only because Pumpkin decided to cut her losses and dip out. “The plaintiff informed us that the defendant had already vacated the property. It’s been resolved. Now the money hadn’t been paid, but she has since moved,” the clerk explained.

Pumpkin had been renting the trailer since August 2023, which means this eviction happened within six months of her moving in. That’s a quick downfall, even by reality TV standards.

Pumpkin’s Had Money Troubles In The Past

This isn’t the first time Pumpkin has faced financial trouble. She’s been open in the past about her money struggles, and fans may remember when she came under fire for asking followers to send money for her husband Josh Efird’s birthday. Not exactly a great look when you’re already being criticized for living beyond your means.

Speaking of Josh, Pumpkin filed for divorce from him last year, citing that the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, share four children: Ella (7), Bentley (4), and twins Sylus and Stella (3). According to court documents, they’ve agreed to joint custody and have outlined a co-parenting plan to make it work. Still, being a single mom of four with financial instability is no small feat.

Of course, it doesn’t help that Pumpkin has publicly blasted Mama June herself for not stepping up to help especially when it came to paying child support for younger sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. June’s reputation for reckless spending has been a longtime sore spot in the family, and Pumpkin has made it clear she’s had enough of her mom’s antics.

And let’s not forget the family is still reeling from the devastating loss of Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, who passed away from cancer at just 29. The emotional toll, combined with custody battles and financial instability, has left the family in disarray.

Fans online are reacting with mixed feelings. Some are showing sympathy for Pumpkin, noting the challenges of raising four young kids alone. Others are calling her out, with one social media user writing, “If you can’t pay rent, maybe stop running a secondhand shop out of a trailer with no power.”

With the new season of Mama June: Family Crisis premiering May 30 at 8pm on We TV, don’t be surprised if this eviction drama gets the spotlight treatment. The show has never shied away from exposing the family’s raw, messy truth, and it looks like Pumpkin’s latest crisis is another chapter in the saga that just won’t quit.
