A Missouri family got way more than they bargained for during a recent snack run, turning what should have been a normal grocery delivery into a full-blown nightmare. Missouri shoppers are no strangers to surprising Walmart stories, but this one might take the crown. A local woman posted a now-viral video explaining that a bag of Great Value Cheese Puffs she bought from Walmart allegedly contained something that looked disturbingly like a dead snake.
In her TikTok clips, the Missouri woman explains that everything appeared perfectly normal when the Walmart delivery arrived. The cheese puffs bag wasn’t damaged, dented, or suspicious. She opened it as usual, handed a few to one of her daughters, and thought nothing of it until her other daughter pointed out something strange lurking inside the bag.
What the camera revealed next had viewers clutching their own snack bags in fear: a long, twisted, snake-like object nestled right in with the bright orange puffs. Things escalated quickly. The family says they had purchased two bags of the same product, so they opened the second one to check if it was safe.

Inside that one, they reportedly found a flake not nearly as terrifying, but still enough to raise eyebrows. But the real issue was the first bag, and the creepy mystery object that the mother insists “basically looked like a snake.”
The Missouri woman says they didn’t just shrug this off. In a follow-up video, she shared that they filed a complaint with Walmart and also notified the local health department. Walmart apparently responded quickly, pulling the product from shelves in the area while they look into what happened.
That seems to have been the right call, because according to the family, someone else in their Missouri town found something similar in a bag of the exact same cheese puffs. The investigation at home didn’t stop there either. In another video, the mom is seen wearing gloves and washing part of the snake-like object to take a closer look.

She says she’s completely convinced it isn’t a cheese puff and viewers agreed. The shape was off, the texture was off, the vibe was very off. A third video shows her husband cutting into the thing, revealing that it smelled terrible and was surprisingly tough to cut. Not exactly qualities you expect from a cheese puff.
“MY jaw is dropped and has not been picked up,” one person said in the comments section. “Is anything safe to eat anymore?” another asked. “My mouth flew open…sickkkk!!” a third person chimed in. “Lawsuit,” a fourth comment simply read.
Whether the object turns out to be an actual snake or some bizarre manufacturing error, one thing is certain. This Missouri family will probably be checking every snack bag like it’s a crime scene for a long time.
