Host Julie Chen Moonves recently teased the theme and dropped some eyebrow-raising clues that sent the internet into full detective mode. Between the secretive setup, cryptic clues, and buzz around a certain “mystery houseguest,” Season 27 of Big Brother is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable yet.
Julie told Entertainment Weekly, “What I can say is the mystery houseguest, when I was told who this person is, I had to expect the unexpected! I never expected that person.” She also added, “Getting that person is epic… and that person is also very polarizing. So there’s going to be a strong reaction in both directions for this mystery houseguest.”

Of course, the internet did what it does best: spiraled into a frenzy of fan theories. Reddit, TikTok, and Twitter are ablaze with guesses on who the surprise guest could be. The top contender? None other than Rachel Reilly, BB royalty and queen of drama.
Reilly, who won Season 13 and has since popped up on The Amazing Race and The Traitors, is no stranger to controversy. Her iconic one-liners and fiery gameplay made her a love-or-hate figure, so yeah, “polarizing” fits.
One fan pointed out that a photo posted to Big Brother’s Instagram showed a clock with hands pointing to 1 and 3, a possible reference to Season 13, Rachel’s winning season. Add that to her recent Instagram caption, “I’m the only winner here,” and the evidence starts to stack up like poorly hidden alliances.
