Another Star Wars project is on the way! Just a few weeks after the announcement of The Mandalorian and Grogu movie a new series is set to premiere on Disney Plus this summer! Star Wars fans will be eating well with so much new content coming in 2024! Including the third and final season of The Bad BatchHollywood News Daily is here to tell fans everything they need to know about this exciting news!

The Acolyte!

Star Wars: The Acolyte will be set in the High Republic Era. This was a time way before the Prequel Trilogy when the Jedi Order was at the height of its power. The series will follow a Jedi Padawan and her master as they investigate a looming evil lurking in the outer rim. According to Collider.com The hype for this new show was at an all-time high after its reveal during last year’s Star Wars Celebration.

Fans of the High Republic book series should be very excited about the premiere of The Acolyte as it will have a connection to those stories. Rebecca Henderson is said to be playing an older version of Venestra Rwoh, who is a prominent character in phases one and three of the books. It is possible that fans will have to part ways with that character though, as it has been stated that this series will not be kind to the Jedi.

The Battle Between Dark and Light!

The galaxy far far away has always been a story about the endless battle between darkness and light. Whether it is the Republic or the Rebel Alliance. There is always a hint of the dark side in every galactic conflict. It will be very interesting to see the perspective of the Sith. To be able to see both sides of a conflict is something Star Wars fans have not seen. Not since The Clone Wars animated series.

Star Wars: The Acolyte will hopefully give fans a new perspective on the battle between dark and light. As well as letting viewers see that the battle is not as black in white as it may seem. Seeing that gray area that not many force-sensitive beings can follow would be huge for Star Wars as a whole.

Unfortunately, for now, fans will have to wait and hope for more information. At least a timetable was given out on when to expect this new series. Fans will have plenty of Star Wars content to hold them over though! With the Bad Batch coming out in just a short while, what will the final season hold in store?
