Miami, Florida — An ICE agent was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, and to make matters worse, his two kids were reportedly in the car at the time. The man was not happy about his traffic stop and being asked to do some field sobriety tests. He told officers that his kids were his life and tried to convince them to let him walk. “I just want to go home,” he says in the video.
According to a video posted to Reddit, the Florida man was pulled over after police noticed something was off. When officers began asking basic questions like where he was coming from and where he was headed, the ICE agent struggled to give clear answers. Instead of cooperating, he seemed more concerned with letting everyone know who he worked for. He allegedly told officers he was with the Department of Homeland Security, as if that was some kind of get-out-of-jail-free card.
Once the officer asked him to step out of the car, things apparently went downhill fast. When questioned about whether he had been drinking, the man reportedly became defensive and tense. The responding officer noted that he appeared intoxicated, which led to a field sobriety test or at least an attempt at one.

Rather than complying, the ICE agent began talking about how tough his job was, claiming people had shot at him and tried to kill him because of his line of work. It was almost like he was trying to gain sympathy rather than face the situation in front of him.
At one point, the Miami officer reportedly pleaded to be let go, saying he was going through a divorce and had his kids in the car. However, despite the emotional performance which allegedly included some very questionable crying, it didn’t change a thing. The arresting officer stayed calm, professional, and made it clear that consequences had to be faced. Ultimately, the ICE agent was cuffed and taken into custody for DUI.
Once the arrest video hit social media, Florida residents and plenty of others had a lot to say. Many viewers couldn’t help but point out the irony. After months of seeing viral clips of ICE agents using intimidation tactics or avoiding accountability, some felt it was karma or justice to see one of them face the music.

Comments poured in calling out the hypocrisy and questioning how someone responsible for enforcing immigration laws could make such an irresponsible choice, especially with children in the car.
“Expecting to get out of a DUI because he’s ICE. Pathetic. Drunk driving with your kids in the car, even worse,” one person wrote. “Ironic that an ICE agent is begging for leniency, for the sake of keeping him and his kids together. I wonder how many immigrant parents have begged him for the same thing,” another comment read. “I’m glad the officers got him off the road,” a third person chimed in.
In the end, this Florida fiasco serves as another reminder that no one, not even ICE officers, is above the law. Whether you wear a badge or not, actions have consequences. And this time, it seems like karma came cruising down the Miami highway with flashing lights right behind it.
