A Pennsylvania mom has left TikTok users both shocked and uneasy after sharing a spine-tingling encounter in her own home. While making her morning coffee, she claims she heard a man calling her name. Not in person, but through her baby monitor.

What makes the incident even more unsettling? Her baby monitor doesn’t connect to WiFi, meaning there’s no outside interference. This makes the mysterious voice even more inexplicable. Frantically, she ran upstairs to check on her children, only to find them safe in bed and her husband still asleep.

This eerie experience isn’t new for the TikToker, known as @truly.mommin. She shared a past encounter that occurred while she was getting ready for her high school homecoming. At that time, her boyfriend was downstairs and her mom was across the house.

Upstairs, she heard a woman’s voice call her name saying Ash, twice. She claims that though it sounded far away, it was unnervingly loud. Thinking it was her mom, she responded, only to discover it wasn’t.

Now, years later, a similar incident has left her shaken all over again. The most recent encounter over the baby monitor sounded vaguely like her husband, but with an off, lifeless quality that made her skin crawl. Unsurprisingly, the incident has her spooked, prompting her to ask her followers for opinions and advice.

TikTok Offers Sage Advice

Her story has sparked thousands of comments, with fans offering theories ranging from technical glitches to the paranormal. Many are captivated by the fact that the baby monitor isn’t WiFi-connected, which seems to rule out any ordinary explanation. Pennsylvania locals and TikTok viewers alike are left questioning what could be behind the mysterious voice.

What in the insidious…. cause over the baby monitor .. girl throw sage through that house, hire a priest 😭 actually just move,” one follower urges.

I just had to throw out our camera in my toddlers room bc someone was talking on it. Throw it out momma!!” another suggests.

If it sounds exactly like your husband or anyone in the house do not answer. It is a mimic. Mimics thrive on being answered and they gain power when you acknowledge them. Sage your house immediately,” one more warns.

A mimic, according to a Google search, is an entity that impersonates people by taking their appearance, voice, or other familiar details to deceive or manipulate individuals, often to establish trust before revealing its true, usually malevolent, intentions. These entities can mimic voices of loved ones, friends, or even one’s own, and their goal is to gain trust and psychological influence before their true hostile nature is revealed.

For this Pennsylvania mom, what started as a routine morning in the kitchen became a terrifying reminder that some experiences are beyond explanation. With her TikTok community watching and weighing in, she continues to ask the question on everyone’s mind: what really happened in her home, and why now?
