However, with the current surge of returning battlefront players, many are calling for a third installment to be developed by EA, and among those fans is Kyrie Irving.

However, not just on the court, but on the various battlefields across the Star Wars galaxy. During the Twitch stream, Irving made his love for Star Wars Battlefront II crystal clear. He didn’t just geek out a little; he joined the full-blown movement to beg EA and Disney for a third Battlefront game. “I just wanna be one of the best Battlefront players in the world,” Irving said, channeling pure gamer energy. And honestly, that’s respectable.

Irving has thrown himself right into the middle of the Star Wars fandom. This is not some half-baked PR stunt to gain more fans; this was a legitimate plea for another installment in what is a lot of people’s favorite game franchise of all time. Fans have been in this fight for years. However, for the first time since its launch, Battlefront 2 has reached a record high player count on Steam. Since Disney bought Lucasfilm, there has been a void in the Star Wars gaming community. Although some single-player games are developed here and there, fans are not feeling fulfilled.
Kyrie Irving has joined the fight by showing EA there is still a lot of demand for the Star Wars Battlefront franchise. Irving is not the only famous celebrity to join the cause, though. Muhannad Ben Amor, who plays Wilmon Paak in the Disney+ series Andor, even released a statement wishing for another Battlefront game. It is clear what the people want. Although it seems as though Disney and EA just do not care about their fans.
Although the chances of a Battlefront 3 ever being made seem pretty low, Rebellions are built on hope. That is all fans can do now, though. They have brought the game back from the dead with some absolutely spectacular dedication from the community. However, if EA and Disney don’t get the message by now, they may not ever understand it. Everyone wants Battlefront 3, including NBA champion Kyrie Irving.
