A disturbing case out of Arkansas has people online absolutely stunned after a school administrator accused of orchestrating what prosecutors described as a “fight club” involving children was sentenced following a shocking investigation.
Dr. Mary Tracy Morrison, who owned and directed The Delta Institute for the Developing Brain and the Engage program in Jonesboro, Arkansas, is now facing serious consequences after authorities said students under her supervision were allegedly encouraged to physically attack another child during a horrifying incident that reportedly lasted around 30 minutes.
According to reports, the case started unraveling after the mother of a 13-year-old student contacted authorities back in 2025, claiming her son had suffered both emotional and physical abuse while at school. What investigators allegedly discovered afterward painted a deeply unsettling picture, per PEOPLE.

Court documents stated that law enforcement reviewed surveillance footage from inside the school after obtaining a search warrant. Prosecutors claimed the video showed Morrison instructing students surrounding a child to “put their hands” on him. Authorities also alleged she physically participated in the chaos herself, reportedly striking the child with an unidentified object during the ordeal.
Even more alarming, investigators said students sitting around the child allegedly punched, kicked, and choked him while Morrison verbally berated the victim throughout the incident. Prosecutors described the scene almost like something out of a movie — except this involved real children inside an educational setting where parents trusted adults to keep students safe.
One detail that especially horrified people following the case was the allegation that Morrison appeared pleased with the behavior happening around her. According to documents referenced in reports, authorities claimed she even gave one student a high five during the violent episode.
That image alone has fueled outrage online, with many people questioning how something like this could allegedly happen in a school environment at all.
After the investigation, Morrison ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of permitting child abuse and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Her punishment includes 30 days behind bars followed by 120 days of house arrest.

The judge reportedly ordered that Morrison can no longer work professionally with children in any capacity moving forward. She was also required to surrender her occupational therapy license and any related certifications. In addition, the court ordered her to complete a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommended treatment.
Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jessica Thomason explained why resolving the case through a plea agreement was important, stating: “This resolution ensures that the victims are not required to relive these events through the court process and secures conditions that protect the community going forward.”
She added: “Morrison will no longer be permitted to work with children.” The internet, of course, has been flooded with reactions ranging from disbelief to outright anger. Many commenters questioned how the alleged abuse could continue for so long without intervention, while others expressed sympathy for the young victim caught in the center of it all.
