According to industry chatter, the Kardashian matriarch has been going above and beyond in her attempts to get closer to Academy Award–winning actress Goldie Hawn. However, all efforts have failed, and there could be a couple of big reasons behind it.
The idea of the two powerhouses striking up a friendship sounds like it could make for some headline-worthy moments. However, according to The Globe‘s sources report that things have stayed surprisingly cool between them. And Kris is not too happy about it.
Insiders say Kris Jenner’s quest to make Goldie Hawn her new bestie started last winter. It was after Goldie’s famous family, including Kate and Oliver Hudson and their kids, teamed up with a Kardashian-run brand for a holiday campaign.
The matching pajamas were cute, the photos were Kardashian perfection, and the vibe was merry. Or at least in print. But once the cameras stopped clicking, it seems the Goldie and Kris collab didn’t spill over into friendship territory.
Kurt Russell Urges Goldie Hawn to Keep Life A Kris Jenner Free Zone
A big part of the distance could come down to the fact that Goldie Hawn and longtime partner Kurt Russell don’t enjoy KarJenner-level chaos. The couple has built decades-long careers while sidestepping the gossip mill. Preferring private family moments to media overexposure.
“Goldie and the family caught a lot of flak for parading around in SKIMS in those holiday pics,” adds the source. “Word is they have no intention of mixing with the Kardashians again, and Goldie would like Kris to lose her number.”
“Kurt wasn’t part of the pajama game and doesn’t want anything to do with them,” says the source, adding his decision “might have also influenced Goldie to cut off Kris.”
To them, “networking” means dinner with friends in Aspen, not trading favors for photo ops. The Kardashian brand of reality-TV-fueled drama, well, that is reportedly a big NO for them. So Kurt’s alleged strong suggestion to steer clear of Kris Jenner and family comes as no surprise to his and Goldie’s family and fans.
While Kris is famous for turning acquaintances into collaborators, insiders say Goldie wasn’t interested in a second act together. The holiday campaign may have grabbed headlines. However, it also stirred some criticism, and Goldie decided she’d had enough of that flavor of fame. And with Kurt Russell reportedly backing the decision 100%, there was little chance Kris Jenner’s charm campaign would win them over.
Kris Jenner might be the queen of spin, able to turn spilled coffee into a merch opportunity, but Goldie Hawn isn’t interested in a spot on the Kris Jenner friends roster. This is one Hollywood star who prefers keeping her life drama-free.
