What she didn’t expect was for the horror icon to rise from the shadows and deliver a message of his own. The woman, known on TikTok as Mara (@ressecupqueen), casually claimed she could take on Jeepers Creepers, the terrifying creature from the cult horror franchise. To anyone unfamiliar with the legend, her words might have sounded harmless. But those who know the story of the Creeper understand the danger in even saying his name.
Every 23rd spring, the Creeper is said to rise for 23 days. During that time, he feeds on human flesh, leaving terror in his wake. In the films, he stalks his victims with terrifying precision, and he never loses.
Mara’s comment section quickly filled with people laughing at her bold declaration. Her followers warned her she had just poked at something best left alone. What she didn’t expect was a TikTok battle.

The Florida Creeper Strikes Back
Then came the moment no one saw coming. A TikTok account @ BigJeep23 appeared featuring a man dressed in a full Creeper costume, looming over a chilling tribute image of Mara. Above her photo were the words: “Celebrating the Life of Mara.” Black and white balloons floated in the background, adding an eerie funeral-like feel.
The caption was even more sinister: “Pre service for Mara.” And “Wait Til I Catch U.”
Viewers flooded the comments, half horrified and, half-amused. Some begged Mara to run while others taunted her mistake. “Just to confirm you going back to sleep after handling this,” writes one JC follower.
“Imagine being bullied by jeepers creepers,” adds another.
“You gonna stop after u get her right?” asks one more.
What began as a harmless TikTok has turned into a viral nightmare. Whether this is a committed fan in costume or something darker is anyone’s guess. But one thing is certain: the Creeper doesn’t need to wait for Hollywood anymore. Now, just in time for spooky season, he’s found a new hunting ground on TikTok.
