In fact, one golfer proved that even the warmest climate can’t thaw out someone determined to be a full-blown Grinch. A TikTok captured the exact moment a routine day on the green turned into a miniature holiday disaster complete with smashed Christmas décor, a heated argument, and some truly questionable entitlement.
The video, posted by TikTok user @beer_and_bananas1, begins inside a Florida golf course clubhouse, where a disgruntled man is already in mid-argument with two women working at the counter. According to the employees, the man did not pay for his round of golf. According to him, he absolutely did, and he insists he even spoke to a woman on the phone who supposedly gave him the all-clear to head out to the fairway. But with no receipt, no record, and no manager available because of a meeting, the Florida showdown only escalates from there.
That’s when the conversation goes off the rails. “I paid for my round this morning,” he claims confidently, only to be corrected almost immediately. Instead of dialing things down, he doubles down, asking, “Alcohol is free with the round, correct?” The employee wastes no time shutting that down: “Absolutely not.”

For most people, that would be the end of the argument, maybe a frustrated sigh, maybe a walk out the door. However, this Florida man had other ideas, and those ideas involved the Christmas tree.
In one of the most bizarre moments caught on TikTok this month, the irritated golfer walks over to the golf course’s decorated holiday tree, plucks off a glass bulb ornament, and drops it directly onto the floor. It hits the ground, shatters loudly, and grabs the attention of other players nearby. Without missing a beat, the man marches out of the clubhouse as though he didn’t just destroy a piece of holiday décor over a disputed golf payment.
Of course, this being Florida (and TikTok), viewers immediately had questions. A surprising number of commenters insisted the whole thing looked staged, criticizing the video as too clean, too dramatic, or clearly rehearsed. But the TikTok creator never fully confirmed whether the moment was genuine or a skit, leaving viewers to argue among themselves in the comments section.
The Holidays Can Be Stressful
“He’s banned from the course now correct?” one person asked in the comment section. “The customer ruined the customer service in this country,” a second person stated. “Have the Christmas you deserve, Sir,” a third person chimed in. “What did the Christmas tree do?” a fourth comment read.
Whether staged or not, the point stands: holiday spirit was nowhere to be found in that clubhouse.
