John Singleton’s made a crucial error in his estate planning that could cause some major drama within his family in the days following his passing.

It appears that John Singleton failed to update his will which was written in 1993 and has listed that his entire estate goes to his eldest daughter Justice. According to Radar Online Justice was John’s only child at the time and since writing his will he has fathered six more children who are obviously not mentioned in said document.

Sadly, Singleton passed away suddenly at the age of 51 following a stroke last week. John had reportedly been battling hypertension and became suddenly ill upon his return from Costa Rica. He was hospitalized and suffered a stroke while under medical care where his condition quickly deteriorated and the director was placed on life support.

Following two weeks on life support at L.A.’s Cedar Sinai, the decision was made to remove all life-sustaining machines. Singleton quietly passed away hours later. Singleton’s shocking death following a stroke at such an early age is much like that of another Hollywood celebrity former Beverly Hills 90210 and Riverdale star Luke Perry who died last month at the age of 52.

John Singleton is survived by his mother, Sheila Ward, his father, Danny Singleton and his children Justice, Maasai, Hadar, Cleopatra, Selenesol, Isis, and Seven. His children born after 1993 however, may not be entirely out of luck according to California laws and have a pretty strong case to be included in the division of his estate should it be taken that far.

Hopefully, things will not need to go to those extremes and John Singleton’s children can work out the division of the estate among themselves.A private funeral is set to take place on Monday, April 6 honoring the late John Singleton. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr. Singleton during this difficult time.
