Anna Mellor, a TikTok creator from Austin, Texas, known for playful pranks with her husband Rory, thought she had a pretty good read on her marriage. The two have built a following off their fun dynamic. She tricks him, he plays along, and together they give off that “best friends who fell in love” energy people eat up online.

But as it turns out, Rory had been running his own quiet little operation behind the scenes for years. And Anna had absolutely no idea. The reveal came out of nowhere thanks to a random pair of used sneakers.
