Patrick Mahomes is finally weighing in on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is revealing exactly how he feels about his teammate getting tons of media attention for dating the “Love Story” singer.

It’s no secret that Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, has gotten very close to Taylor Swift. The two WAGS have been spotted hanging out at the Chiefs games and hitting the town for girls’ night. They even have their very own celebratory handshake. However, the QB has stayed quiet about Travis Kelce’s love life. That is, until now.
Mahomes was recently asked about Kelce and Swift’s relationship and the amount of attention that it’s been around the globe. When asked if it was a distraction to the team and in the NFL, the athlete made his feelings very clear.
“I’ve been lucky enough to meet Taylor and see how good of a person she is,” Mahomes ESPN. “I think you can understand why it’s not become a distraction or anything like that because everybody cares about being the best they can be every day. We’ll see when we get to the off-season. Maybe I’m traveling to Europe to go to a concert or something,” he continued.
Mahomes says Kelce and Swift’s relationship is a ‘huge deal’
Patrick Mahomes revealed that he thinks of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s romance as a big deal, and that’s because it is. He explained that it feels on the same caliber as competing in the Super Bowl.
“People see the whole Taylor Swift and Travis [thing] and they make it a huge deal because it is a huge deal. I think it becomes a bigger deal to the fan bases than it does to the guys who are actually in the building,” the quarterback stated.
“His family and my family have almost become one family because of the relationship that we have and how we kind of became just brothers on the football field and off the football field as well. He just wants to be the guy who comes to play football every single day,” he added.
Taylor Swift might be the Chiefs’ most famous fan
It appears that Patrick Mahomes has no problem with Taylor Swift’s connection to Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs. If anything, the fanbase has grown bigger because of Swift’s connection to the team.
Because Mahomes and Kelce are such good friends, it’s likely he has a soft spot for seeing his teammate happy. Who knows? If the Taylor and Travis wedding theory pans out, The famed quarterback could find himself in the wedding party at during the nuptials.
