PR PhotosLamar Odom is on the road to recovery, regaining consciousness and speaking to his family members who have been at Lamar’s side, praying together for the past five days according to Us. The family is breathing sighs of relief today as Lamar continues to fight his way back from what looked to be the end. Family members have been spotted with smiles on their faces as they stepped away from the hospital to rest following the bedside vigil.
As previously reported Lamar, 35, is making a miraculous recovery better and is no longer in a coma since being found unconscious at legal brothel Love Ranch South on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Khloe Kardashian, who has not left Lamar’s side, was overcome with emotions when Lamar opened his eyes on Friday, saw Khloé Kardashian and said, “Hey, baby,” gave her a thumbs up and then went back to sleep. “No words can express the overwhelming gratitude we feel for the outpouring of support from around the world,” Odom’s aunt, JaNean Mercer previously told Us.
Kim Kardashian reportedly also got a response from Lamar Odom over the weekend while visiting him at Sunrise Hospital. ”I have faith in you. I believe in the power of prayer and positive energy!” she shared on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 17. “Thank you all for your prayers! Lammy – I’m so happy Kendall & I could make you smile today! God is good!”
Unfortunately, doctors have told the family that Lamar is far from out of the woods yet. The amount of damage to his organs is not known at this time. The family has also been told to prepare for “everything,” which includes a long-term stay in the hospital, as well as a disability so extreme that it will inhibit Lamar’s ability to speak, walk and swallow.”
