‘I’m Angry In 2026’: California Grocery Shopper Gets Called Out For Rude Aisle Etiquette And The Internet Can Relate

Shopping inside a store can be a stressful and annoying situation for some people. However, despite that, shoppers still need to have basic manners and patience when inside any kind of store. Well, that was not the case for this California man, though. A recently posted TikTok video with around 4K likes and 134K views shows the man having a fit in a grocery store because someone is on their phone, barely blocking an aisle.

The TikTok begins with the man walking into the store as he begins to speak about “Being on your phone, just chatting in the veggie section.” He would then turn the camera around to show a young woman standing off to the side of the aisle. Viewers can then see that the woman has some sort of headset on, which could indicate that she is in fact on the job and not just “Chatting.” Yet, despite that, the California man decides to make a video about the woman as he says, “I’m angry in 2026.” The man then walks around the woman as he makes a “talks too much” gesture with his off hand.

TikTok Roasts Rude California Man Amid Shopping Altercation

The TikTok comment section was not a big fan of this behavior, though. Many users would begin to turn on the TikToker for acting like this, as the woman was just minding her own business. “Sir, chill out,” wrote one. “Aren’t you practically doing the same thing?” asked another. “Normalize saying excuse me,” stated one commenter. Finally, one other said, “You know what is wonderful about this situation? It really seems like she is minding her own business. I wish there were more like her.” It would appear that many social media users are not on this man’s side in this situation.

Shopping inside stores isn’t for everyone. Luckily, most places do have a curbside pickup or mobile order option. It does not cost money to be polite to people. While this California woman should not have been on the phone in the aisle, yes. However, this man didn’t need to make an entire TikTok video about it either. This whole thing was seemingly blown way out of proportion.

At the end of the day, nobody was hurt, and both of these California natives went on their way. Maybe next time this woman won’t stop in the aisle to take a phone call. In turn, though, hopefully this man doesn’t make a TikTok about every minor inconvenience throughout the day, because that may be a little too over the top.
