When relaxing in the comfort of your own home, nobody wants to be bothered by a complete stranger, especially when that stranger is trying to sell you something. However, despite that fact, solicitors do not care about the comfort of others, as they just want to push the agenda, whatever company or organization they come from. Take this recently posted TikTok video as a prime example. The clip has around 200 likes and 4K views, as two Illinois solicitors are very rude to a woman after she does not come to the door for them.
The TikTok video then starts off with the two men walking up to the door of the woman’s house. One of the men then knocks on the door and waits for a response. However, that response does not come. This is a pretty normal interaction regarding this kind of encounter. This is likely due to the fact that people don’t want to be bothered by strangers. Even more so when they are trying to sell them something. Yet, probably not to the surprise of most, these Illinois men don’t seem to be taking the hint.
After a few moments of waiting and making idle conversation with one another, one of the men claims that he saw the woman looking at them through the blinds. They then go on to talk about how they could see her, but are confused as to why she won’t come to the door. Finally, they state that this happens to them a lot, so you think they would be used to it by now. Although they clearly are not, as they can be heard calling the woman horrible names before finally leaving.
TikTok Reacts To Rude Illinois Solicitors
The TikTok comment section was not too happy about this, though. Many users would flock to the video in order to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions regarding the two men. “My mouth is wide open right now, no way they said that,” wrote one. Another stated, “They had the audacity to say all that and are dressed that way. I hope you find out who they work for!” Someone else also claimed, “I literally can’t believe this.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “How is this video not viral?”
Unfortunately, the TikTok video would come to an end following this as the two Illinois men finally take their leave. However, the video’s caption does give a little more context to the situation, as it claims the security camera did not capture the entire interaction. The caption then reads as follows: “This was an insane interaction today. Unfortunately, the camera didn’t catch footage of them walking by again and calling me a b*** again.” It also states that the woman’s boyfriend had to threaten them with violence to get them to leave.
At the end of the day, this was some totally inappropriate behavior from these young Illinois men. Hopefully, they face the consequences of their actions sooner rather than later. This is not how any kind of business should be conducted, no matter the circumstances. These two guys clearly still have a lot of growing up to do, and maybe they learned something from this encounter.
